Spurs Sorority Foundation

The Spurs Sorority Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization incorporated in 2010 for the purpose of raising scholarship money for current active members of Spurs sorority and students at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. With the cost of attending Trinity exceeding $50,000, Spur-Exes organized the Foundation as a means to assist a current Spur active or actives in financing their Trinity education while also providing a meaningful connection between Spurs actives and alumnae. Fundraising efforts also provide an opportunity for networking, both professionally and socially, for Spur-Exes, as well as a means to celebrate our sisterhood.

The Foundation has been in existence for a short time—just over eight years– but in that time, it has reconnected with hundreds of our over 1,400 Spur-exes, gotten to know our actives, and raised over $70,000 from donations and merchandise purchases. The foundation hosted an 85th Anniversary Gala celebration in October of 2017 that welcomed over 200 guests from all the eras of Spurs back to San Antonio to celebrate Trinity’s oldest student organization.
